Bernie Daina is a licensed independent psychologist who has based his practice in Denver since 1980. He works exclusively with organizations and management within organizations. He consults to a wide range of businesses and organizations nationally, specializing in venture firms and technology companies. He also works with conventional businesses -- both large and small, with professional and intercollegiate sports teams, academic institutions, and elected officials. Bernie's services include: assessment, coaching and consultation on executive selection, development, and placement; consultation on organizational structure, change management, and the human dimensions of mergers; group and individual conflict resolution; and facilitation of strategic planning and business-centered team building. Occasionally, he performs training in the above areas and targeted executive searches. |

| Previously, Bernie was a swimming coach, a research statistician with the US Department of Commerce, a US Army and US Air Force officer, and a Vice President in a publicly-traded biotechnology company. He also directed a private psychiatric hospital. He was a partner in a regional consulting firm for seven years. |

| Bernie earned his B.A. in English at Rutgers College in 1972, and his M.S. and Ph.D. in Clinical and Consulting Psychology at Howard University. He did his clinical training at St. Elizabeths Hospital - National Institute of Mental Health, and his clinical fellowship at McLean Hospital - Harvard Medical School, with continuing education at The Menninger Foundation and various business training resources. He serves on the boards of nonprofits and is a frequent speaker at conferences in the venture community and the industries he serves. |
